I have just started using FileSeek and it is great, finding things in .php files which Windows search can't.

This may be a stupid question, but what does 'selected file viewing application' do? I have put in the path to notebook but this does not seem to do anything and now I can't remove it.

Many thanks

It sets the viewing application (editor) FileSeek will use to open the selected file. I would assume that if the application doesn't match the file (text editor for text files) then it would do nothing. That value is stored in the registry with the OpenOther value. You can delete it from there.

However, that said, I can't get it to work properly either. I use SciTE as my primary text editor and it seems to be sensitive to spaces in the target path. If the target has no spaces, it opens it up just fine. Would it be possible to quote the target when using the 'Open With Other Application' tool?

Thanks.

@Travis: Thanks for explaining this for me. I'll take a look at how the values are being passed in and fix it up for you in v1.7. :)

This has been fixed in version 1.7, which will be released later this month. :)
