FileSeek Advanced Settings

Warning: These settings should generally not be used, unless you require the functionality they provide. These can be configured in the FileSeek Settings window, by clicking the "Advanced Settings" button.

Application Hooks: Disable Shell Hooks

Key:HKCU\Software\Binary Fortress Software\FileSeek\DisableShellHooks
Type:REG_SZ
Values:
0: Shell Hooks will be enabled (default)
1: Shell Hooks will be disabled
Versions:latest
This will disable any shell hooks that the application may use. This may cause issues if the application depends on them. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.

Fonts: Default Nice Font Family Name

Key:HKCU\Software\Binary Fortress Software\FileSeek\FontsDefaultFamily
Type:REG_SZ
Values:Any font name, like Arial or Tahoma
Default:Auto-detect
Versions:latest
Use this to override the default font family name being used in the UI. The default is usually Segoe UI. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.

Fonts: Default Nice Font Size (in pixels)

Use this setting to force the default UI font size to a specific value. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.

0: Nice fonts will be used (default)

Use this setting to never use nice fonts on UI controls. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.

Use this setting to force a custom file encoding for FileSeek to use when parsing text files, if required.

General: Disable API Sync Error Messages

0: API syncing will show error messages when needed (default)
1: API syncing will never show an error message
Versions:latest
Use this setting to force the application to never show an error if an API sync fails.

General: Disable Loading Screens

This setting will force any loading screens to not be shown.

Use this setting to disable the new assembly resolver. This should only be used for troubleshooting and is not recommended. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.

General: Disable Prompt When Restoring Settings

0: A confirmation dialog will be shown (default)
1: No confirmation dialog will be shown

This will prevent the Restore Settings dialog from prompting for a confirmation. FileSeek must be restarted for this setting to take effect.
