Hi Jon.

First, I'd like to echo everyone else and thank you for such a great utility. FileSeek is my primary search tool. I appreciate the work you put into it.

Second, is there a way to do matching on the path?

Can I start at "C:\Files" and look for *.txt files in folders that match (for example) "2009*"? This would look for *.txt files in "C:\Files\200902" and "C:\Files\200901", but not in "C:\Files\200812".

I tried putting a wildcard match in the Path field, "C:\Files\2009*" but it failed it as an invalid path. Putting the wildcard match in the Include field, such as "2009*\*.txt", finds no matches when I know it should.

This is a simplistic example. My actual search would have me searching over a hundred folders individually.

Thanks!

Hi Travis, I would recommend upgrading to the recently released version 1.8.2, as it takes care of a folder name matching bug. However, there isn't a way to restrict the folder's that will get searched. It will show folder name matches, but it won't avoid folders that don't match, sorry. Thanks! :)

Thanks Jon.

Is this something that might be in the future? Or would that slow things down too much?

This is something I have on my to-do list, so I'm sure it will find it's way in one day. :)
