Hello, I’m new to FileSeek, and would like a bit of assistance with something. I’ve read much of the documentation, but am unsure of how to do this, so I’m requesting help here, if that’s all right.
I’d like to search multiple folders for every MP3 file that contains a certain word or name. I figured out how to do a generic search within one folder for that word, but anything more complex than that, I’m a bit lost.
For example: If I want to search in a folder for any file whose file name contains the word ”Brown,” I know how to do that. I select the folder in the Path box, and then type *brown* in the Include Files box.
But if a folder has various types of files, I do not know how to narrow the search down to just the .mp3 extension.
Also, if I want to select more than one folder to search, I haven’t figured that one out. I thought Browse and Append would do that, but I’m not able to select more than one folder at a time.
Would anyone be willing to guide me through this procedure?
1) Select multiple folders
2) Filter by extension, such as *.mp3
3) Search file name for word, such as “brown”
Thank you very much. J. Danniel

I have raised a very similar issue in that I would want a simple way to specify a directory tree for the app to traverse. While specifying multiple directories is certainly one possible work-around, it is not the solution
