Not always, but often: On the second search, Fileseek refuses the search, stops the search immediately and indicates at the bottom of the status bar that it has searched a file. I can't change this if I search in a new tab. And even the function "Clear search history" doesn't change that. The search only works again when I quit and restart the program.

What am I doing wrong?

Addendum: Maybe the file handler of Wordperfect is the problem. Apparently, the search freezes for files. If I search without a file handler, the search works.

Interesting! I'm not sure if there's much we can do there, but if you can send me a debug log, I'll pass it along to our developers.

Could you send me a debug log?
  • On the FileSeek Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Try your search
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!
