I am correct to assume that FileSeek will only use a single processor? Can we have a feature request to make FileSeek Multithreaded?

You're correct, the searches currently run in a single thread. Is the search currently consuming a full CPU core while it's running on your system?

It's more related to the post

The CPU is pinned while that search stalls.
During regular scans it doesnt seem to go past 80% for CPU.

Ok, thanks! We'll definitely investigate multi-threading as an option. We'll be sure to post an update if/when we're able to add it.

We've just released FileSeek 3.2 Beta 2 and it should now search *much* faster than before, and it hopefully shouldn't hang up on any files now. Could you give it a try when you have a chance?

Thanks!

This is great news. I will try my scans again and let you know how it turns out.

I am trying to get the beta so i can try and install it but the link you gave redirects to the regular download. I went into the application to try and download it by "Check for new Beta versions" but it insists the client is up to date.
Where can i download the beta?

FYI I installed 3.2.1 and am having the same issues.

3.2.1 is the latest version (newer than the beta that I had posted about). Is it still hanging up on certain files? What file types are they?

Thanks!
