So just installed 6.9 on computer I just wiped.
Set FS 6.9 to search for *,jpg in folder and sub-folder. The "Show file names that match "include files" is checked. This works fine.
I then add a date created filter, when I hit Search FS immediately jumps to Query text box and never searches.
I am doing something wrong or is something broken?

Just tried on another of my computers and it does the same.

OK I think this is my mistake as the date created for a photo is not matching when the photo was taken. Seems for photos I need to use date modified.

Glad to hear you were able to get it sorted out. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble at all.

Thanks!

Keith, one UI design question. I am presuming that my choice of a date created span resulted in no returned files. When I hit Search the application focus just jumped to the Query field. This is what made me think it was needing some text in that field. If FS doesn't find anything I think it would be useful to show that somehow; currently it doesn't tell you anything - something like "No matching files or folders found" or something similar. Maybe in the retured files frame or a dialog.

Yeah, good point! I can reproduce that behaviour here and will put this on our list to take a look at :)

We've just posted a new beta and it will now show "Matches Found: 0" in the status bar below the results when there are no results found.
