I am searching for a file by using the following
*2ct*.vtf
in the Include Files box and
C:\
in the Path box
but I am getting all kind of files but not the file I am looking for
I tried to select both
Include Files Filter is Pattern
and
Include Files Filter is text Query
with similar results
I also tried to set the advance tab for both cases with the settings as in the attached images and once again same results.

please see attached images.

What am I doing wrong?

For those files with the X icon next to them, could you scroll to the right and tell me what the error message is for them?

Thanks! If you go to Tools > Settings > Search, there are a bunch of options for disabling certain error messages. If you disable the one for system files/folders, then you shouldn't see those in the results any more :)
