Could you send me a debug log?

On the FileSeek Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
Try your search and give it time to complete
Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
Reply with the file attached
Disable debug logging after sending the log

When you do the search, the icon on the tab (currently a little settings switch on your screenshot) should change to a magnifying glass while it's searching, then to a check mark when it's done.

You're saying that yours changes to a checkmark first, then back to a magnifying glass?

Are you certain you're using FileSeek? We don't use version numbers like that (FileSeek is currently version 5.1.1) and you mentioned a green tick mark, but the one in FileSeek is blue

So I have no clear indicator of the finish? Is this normal?

After a closer look, I found that there's another magnifier glass that changes to a Green Tick while the query runs & then it turns back into a magnifying glass. I assume that this is the indicator? I've been told various ways to decide whether the search has completed, but none of them sound correct. One is to hover over the Search and Pause/Stop buttons & if the Pause/Stop are clickable (are Blue when hovered over) then the search is still running. Another is to watch the app scroll thru the records below the main screen but some can sit there for ages (zipped files). Does anyone have the answer for this one? Thanks ]]>
