I want to find files in a large folder containing thousands which have file names defined as RegEx. For instance, to find all SQL files that have '_Create' in the name I define Include Files as '.*_Create\.sql' and set Include Files Filter is RegEx option. I leave Query empty.

FileSeek finds nothing.

However, if I include at least space in Query, it finds plenty of these _Create.sql files.

I do not want to search INSIDE of the files, because sometimes need to search for a binary like EXE, DLL etc with specific filename and content is irrelevant. I just want to find files with specific RegEx pattern in their file names.

How to find such files? What do I do wrong?

Test case: using FileSeek, find all files on C: drive with '.*pad\.exe' RegEx pattern in the file name. I expect to be able to find at least Notepad.exe and WordPad.exe

Thank you
