I was under the impression that UAC under Vista and Win7 behaved similarly, so I thought the problem might also manifest on Vista machines.

In any case, it's by no means a showstopper.

However, the next time the Settings dialog is brought up, the error message 'An error has occurred while reading the Context Menu settings. Requested registry access is not allowed.' pops up and the settings are cleared. ]]>
