I have numerous index.php files (Plain text but with a filetype obviously NOT .txt) in subfolders of a local directory. I wish(ed) to find all of those which FAILED to have the word "sold" in them [no quotes involved]. So my query entry was -sold ... What came back was not just EVERY file - whether or not the keyword was in them - but 30 (number of lines) for each one. (It looks like the default - or am I missing something - is akin to "didn't find it on line 1, didn't find it on line 2, etc.) REVIEWS and my instincts are that this is A+ software, but what a ghastly "first impression" I got when using it. [I'm coming over from FileLocator a/k/a AgentRansack, which handles simpler searching flawlessly.] Please tell me IF I can do what I want - and HOW? ]]>
